When my child was 4 years old, I started looking into the school district and elementary school that we belonged to and I was not happy with the results. I knew my child would thrive in any learning setting because of his eagerness to learn but I also wanted to give him his best chance. Thats when I came across Rockwood Preparatory Academy. I filled an intent to apply form and later was notified that my child was selected to be be able to enroll as a kindergartener. And our experience has been amazing since then. My child is happy to go to school and I am happy to drop him off each day. The teacher does a great job communicating what is happening in the classroom and addresses any issues that come up. My child is given the tools he needs to continue learning and that is what I was hoping for. He is reading at age 6 and is always craving more knowledge. The direct instruction model has given him confidence and has challenged him to keep learning.
Im also happy with the administrative team. They communicate what is happening in the school and ask for feedback to continue improving. We will definitely continue attending RPA and I recommend this school to anyone looking for a positive learning environment.
My son attended a public school with RSD and he did not learn anything from that school. They didnt give him any homework to take home and couldnt even read. After attending RPA he started reading!!! He was able to learn how to do math and solve a problems. I thank all the teachers at RPA for going beyond their jobs to help our students. I also like that they wear uniform because all students are equal and have the same clothes. THANK YOU RPA!!!
My daughter has been attending this school since Kindergarten. The staff is amazing they are so caring with the children and offer so much support for the parents and kids. During COVID they handled the situation so well offering support for parents and kids that were struggling with online learning. I love this school! ??
