This is my personal experience of the school after 2+ years year, i can say only one good thing and that is the school does well academically teacher’s care and do the best they can given the surcumstances they were in at the kepner buildingbuilding. however the school is an un clean and un fit environment for your beloved children marijuana bags left on soccer field where small kids run and play i literally seen pre k students grab it and the teacher not do anything about it i had to be the one to notify the office to get it removed! summer time heat takes a major toll on the kids as the school has no inner cooling system my daughter had constant heat rash from the high temperatures in the building going in the facility every day to pick up drop off or just to be with the kids was torture, i would come out completely drench in my sweat:( teacher’s had fans in the rooms that needed to be filled with water in order to be cool but the power cords were covered in mouse poop as the school is infested with mice which leads to the uncleanness.. i enrolled my kids and my daughter got caught in a mouse trap!! the front office lady ms walters who is really rude to you unless you speak to her in Spanish said it was just there “in case” but as the years went on the issue progressed there was constant sightings of the filthy fearless creatures my daughter was in pre k where they took naps on matts on the floor so i was concerned times 10 and talked to the principle ms ryce she said they were aware of the issue.. obviously !! She said they had people come out to help them clean up the nesting areas which was in the cafeteria wherethe food was being stored ?? in hopes of minimizing the problem mind you this is not a normal cafeteria wherehot lunch is freshly cooked each day..! they got different food packaging so the mice would not continue to get into it which is still absolutely disgusting my poor kids! At conference nights or any other night when i was there the mice just scurried around like they totally owned the place the issue never got delt with when my kids were there and i am so heart broken to have kept them there just for the academic part they had mice droppings throughout all the class rooms i have 3 kids who were students at rmp sw at the time so i was all ways at the facility i ended up calling the health department because the problem was so bad i have pictures of mice droppings in the the cubbys where kids personal belongs were to be kept i dont know the out come of the health department visiting i just moved my kids to a school that does great academically is clean, mice infestation free and nice and cool during the summer which was the best choice i could make as a mom!
Such a great school and really great staff, kids get the help they need as individuals to be a successful member of society
