Some aspects deserve a 5 star such as the AP courses, various clubs, activities, sports programs, the principal, the band, and select teachers but other areas are greatly lacking. There is a huge ravine between what goes on in the school, what goes on at the school level with the teachers, then a different level all together with the administration and the District Office. Add to this mix the parents and attempting to resolve any issue and it can quickly result into a nightmare unless you are versed in the district policies, and the laws pertaining to the education codes and standards. I’ve spent many years putting kids through this school and have seen the good and bad. I would venture to say that over 90% of my personal experience with this particular School has been good. However, the other atrocities that I have seen and witnessed are not ok. The bullying and sexual harassment that has been allowed and has
only to leave the victims there with their
continued attacker infuriates me. It goes
against everything written in the handbook
and against all the laws yet it continues. How is a child supposed to learn in an environment like this? The bully doesn’t care they only get worse. And the trial that was trying to learn only continues to get bullied and fall further behind. There needs to be accountability and consequences held for all of these students.
Eh… I don’t really like this place at all. Only been going there for a year and everybody has no respect, blast music during class, cuss up storms in front of teachers, and I got a detention for “cutting class” at the exact time we leave. What the hell? I just go there and get the job done. There is always harassment around the corner and bullying everywhere. The only things I like about this place are the teachers and student support. The teachers are great. Student support is awesome. Oh yeah, they hand out chromebook computers, and some students throw them on the concrete ground and at walls. Total respect for property.
Boooooo! To the School Board that didn’t take the traffic gridlock into account or even care when they decided to plunk this High School in the middle of a “one lane entry/exit” main artery to West/East bound I80. It literally takes you 20 minutes to go 1 mile. Ridiculous. The entire School Board and Transportation people for the the City of Fairfield, all of whom don’t even LIVE in the area, should be forced to deal with what they created every single day.
