I have to say that for the most part, we always had good luck with the teachers–With the exception of 4th grade. Our experience has been marginal at best when it came to my oldest son’s learning and success.
If you are trying to catch and correct a learning disability in your child, and you are asking for the school to help, you may just be out of luck. We were turned down at every corner, and my son suffered terribly because, I feel, it would have been too much work.
If your child has behavioral issues, this IS the school for you. It seems to me that the behavior problem kids get ALL the attention and the rest of them (the good kids, just trying to learn) suffer. I have seen first hand the chaos that occurs, and honestly I don’t know how the teachers are able to teach anything. The consequences for poor behavior are nearly non existent. It really is sad.
Very friendly & caring staff. Lots of activities that promote community involvement!
