Roseville Community School is a place where children can be children AND get the education that prepares them for middle school and high school.
There were some things that I wasn’t sure of initially. No grades? That’s crazy! Actually, it turned out to be just fine. Better than fine.
My son now attends a college prep high school that has a philosophy of “rigorous academics”. Like many students before him, the transition into middle school & high school was smooth.
We all have benefited greatly by going to a parent participation school. I have made life long friends, I’ve grown as a parent and in my understanding of children and their developmental stages. I’m actually a better person because of the network and community of participating parents and the workshops the educators give at the parent meeting nights that I found at Roseville Community School
He is an only child and got the experience of working with younger and older students on a regular basis that he would not have gotten in public school. Interacting with other parents on a regular basis, and having real relationships with his teachers is why, I believe, we now often get the remark from his high school teachers that he is one of their favorites.
He also looks back on those years of his childhood education fondly, which is more than I can say. Getting an education and providing a space where children can flourish in childhood aren’t mutually exclusive – and RCS does that great!
I would do it all over again in a heartbeat.
