My daughter went here and if you are thinking of sending your child here….forget it. My daughter was bullied from the day she started here in year 7 until she left in year 11. The school didn’t do enough to stop things. Children would throw things at my child IN CLASS IN FRONT OF TEACHERS! And still nothing was done. We went to the school on more occasions than I can count, complained to anyone who would listen and met the head teacher more times than I would have liked, all with promises of it stopping…..never happened. She was miserable most of the time but we were trapped. You can be an advocate for your child s much as you like but when the school doesn’t follow through with help, it’s a lose/lose situation. Do yourselves a favour and chose another school, it will save you years of heartache.
Every child given the chance to shine brightly….if you are academically minded or excel in a sport which can be bragged about. Begged for homework to help our son, who was not doing well and were promised consistently it would be set but never materialised. Some support is there for kids who are not academic, and some of the staff are good, but it’s not consistent so unless you are on them all the time, forget it. My advice, make a pain of yourself if you need support, you will not win any friends, but you will probably do better than we did.
No water supply, no option to turn off heating so children are regularly dehydrated and forced in hot (typically 40 degree) conditions where they can not learn. I won’t lie, there are positives, for example you are able to freely exit and enter school at your leisure, essentially they don’t care if you attend, however this is over shadowed by the fact that teachers have a blatant disregard for basic human rights and will violate them when they want to – eg you can be tied to a chair during detention with no questions asked.
Horrible school, 1 day here and i have already seen WillowLive and forearm_merchant. Imran would slap up the headteacher if he wasnt 6 feet under
Minus stars .
This school is dreadful and some staff need the chop.
Parent of x pupil who is settled now and well out of this intolerable place.
Send your children else where .
