now, if i were to be completely honest, this is not a school i would recommend to anyone.
i’ve seen the teachers hit the students multiple times, and not just the junior high. i’ve seen children in Nursery get hit.
the children get so much work piled on to them that they cannot get proper sleep at night, and the teachers still expect them to do so.
once you’re in junior high, you’re expected to finish most, if not all, of the workbooks you receive regardless of how much you actually learned or how far you are in the book. some teachers do not help you with it after april, either.
the teachers can be nice. emphasis on “can”. many of the teachers are immensely biased and, depending on who you are, will refuse to listen to anything you say, even if you need help.
past 4th grade, most of the teachers expect you to be able to teach yourselves to a certain degree, and it gets so much worse as you get to the next grade.
overall, this school is definitely not the best in the area. there are much better options.
The staff consists of the most dedicated people I have ever met. In fact, many of them have second jobs (Catholic school teachers are paid about 30k a year!) Despite that they work very hard and sometimes don’t leave till 7 or 8 in the evening. It’s just unfortunate that many people don’t get to see that. The staff can’t do it by themselves. A school is not just about the students and the workers, it’s about the community and there isn’t much support. There’s no PTA, no beneficiaries, many parents refuse to partake in fundraising events, and some even try manipulate their way out of paying tuition or getting their child to have a better grade.
