Sage Academy is a small project based school based in Brooklyn Park, MN. At the time of my attendance there were approximately less than 90 students (class of 2016). The fact that classes are not packed, reinforces positively students-teachers interactions. The teachers and even aides usually know you by name and this actually is a way to make you feel more comfortable in this big family that Sage is. The school is super inclusive regardless of race, sex or/and gender. Many people felt welcome during my time there, including I, who is black.

Once again, reminder that this is a SMALL public high school (which means full of teens). At times, it is expected to be some problems or people who feel that their business is being minded by other people but this is like ANY other school in any countries. The school itself nor the professors do not have anything to do with these kind of things because these are teens related issues (he says/she says or peer pressure etc). These are issues that arise in any high schools and counselors at Sage WILL actually try to mediate between parties when these problems arises as observed during my year there.

The best bet would be to discuss things directly at the source (communication is important in every aspect of life) if you observe something is wrong or you do not agree with certain things or policies. As for I, personally, this school helped me grow in only a year. Teachers helped me step out of my comfort zone and pushed me to be the best that I ever could be. I left for college with a newfound confidence. There were teachers that I did not really like but this personal opinion will never have an effect on my opinion that Sage academy is a school where you can achieve a lot and can expect to have teachers closely (because of the small size) interact with you and push you to your full potential.

Sage Academy was a blessing for my daughter. She started, January 2017 after transferring from a large, neighborhood school. While attending the other school, she felt overwhelmed and invisible.
Sage Academy has helped to bring my daughter out of her shell. The teachers and staff actually know her name and they genuinely care about her as a person.
I am a early childhood educator who embraces diversity. My daughter is African American and Native American. This school welcomes and embraces her heritage. She has learned to be proud of who she is while respecting others and their backgrounds.
Sage Academy has made learning fun, challenging, and exciting.
My son, who graduated high school 2012, asked me this past Christmas, why wasn’t Sage Academy an option for him when he was in high school.

This is a great school and a perfect fit for my daughter!

I previously went to Sage Academy this year and I can say it’s by far the worst school I’ve ever heard of. The staff is very rude to students, there’s a lot of favoritism with staff an students. The staff is not understanding at all. The food is terrible, they run out, most of the time lunch is has to be pushed an hour later because of delivery. Half the time you can’t even tell what you’re eating. And the amount of drama that goes on there is extremely excessive, for being such a small school. I can’t even express how bad of a time your child will have at this school. They do not resolve student conflict in an efficient manner at all. Punishments are either to drastic or nothing happens at all. Students are terrible, there wasn’t one kid there that I actually liked.
