I was struggling with my academics when I was at SDA, and whenever I reached out for helped teachers and staff made comments that were sarcastic and inappropriate and made me feel dumb and pathetic. I was labeled as a problem child because I didn’t do my homework and did terrible on tests. For being a Christian school they need to do better. If you notice that a student is struggling, it could be because they are going through something mentally or at home. As for me I had severe depression and I was having many health issues to where I was having to be hospitalized. Even after my mom explained the situation, I was penalized and had in school suspension. I begged my parents to take my me out of this school. I had failed two years of high school and was severely behind. I felt extremely unwanted by the staff here. Once I left I completed my senior year doing three years worth of work in one year because I refused to graduate later than I needed to. I was happy to finally have teachers who cared and helped me understand what I couldn’t understand. I graduated with honors and proceeded to go to college. You can ask anyone from back in the day and how they truly felt and they would most likely feel the same way. I do not wish for my future child to go here and would hate for any other child to experience what I experienced. I will also like to note, before someone judges me and says I could have tried harder, before SDA I had a 3.8 gpa and was an honor student at my previous school, but my parents wished for me to have a Christian education. I understand some people had amazing experiences here at this school, unfortunately not everyone was given the same opportunity and attention and favoritism. Do better in the future and don’t leave out the children having issues.

I will never be a memory.

I’ve naught what I should think about this institution. I can assure thee that the students, albeit introverted, are nice. Well, that mostly applies to the upperclassmen, junior high and high school. Teachers are nice, staff is nice, etc. However, you may be put off by some of the actions of the faculty, but if you blindly follow, it’s okay. Don’t think about it too hard, it’ll just lead to your ruin.

Dreams are born from chaos, even to the end of the world.

It’s a really good school in general. There are a couple of teachers that I don’t really think should be teaching, but its the same with every school. One time though, I got sent to the office bc I was sitting down, though that was with a substitute who should probably retire.
