I am shocked and beyond disappointed in this school and it’s the director. Not to mention the last teacher we had the unfortunate experience with in the end Ms. Melissa. This review is based on our last-minute termination from Ms. Victoria. Three days before my sons following lessons, we were emailed with very little explanation that they were being let go as students. No phone call, no warning or hints during studies that they weren’t a “good fit.” I find this hard to comprehend how two kids can’t be a good fit for a teacher with years of experience and not being able to adapt to the STUDENTS way of learning. Not the other way around! What kind of school that is meant to teach music lessons is not able to teach music to two willing, obedient, respectful young boys? After being her for a couple years, the boys were progressing, attending recitals, and competing with Mrs. Farida. The boys took the summer off from lessons and resumed right before school started. Mrs. Farida was no longer there when the boys continued. We had to switch to lessons with Ms. Melissa based on availability with our schedule. The boys had not been taking lessons for a while at this point and Ms. Melissa and this school have determined based on only a few weeks of lessons that the boys should go elsewehere with no time to even find another school or teacher. This place is showing evidence that it is in no shape to continue running. We were not even given the full truth of what is going on. I would not be surprised if this place is shut down shortly! I can’t say I would be upset by that! Please do yourself a favor and do not go here!!! This is a horrible position to be put in and to have to explain to your children why they had to be let go and stop lessons. Deplorable!!!!!!
We are attending this music school for last 4 years and I can say we are very satisfied with our choice. However, I can tell not every child can meet homework expectations. The school emphasizes consistent practicing at home and teachers are really invested in your child’s music results and achievements. If you are not willing to put some homework to self-develop, this may not be a good school for you.
