scholar is a great place with lots of great and nice teachers and friends I have made. even if some teachers and kids are not the best. there is a overwhelming amount of kind people that out way that, and two people that come to mind are ruana and swede. they have been kind to me and swede was my first friend i had ever made at scholar despite my social anxiety, stage fright, lack of courage, and (self diagnosed) false spotlight disorder, they welcomed me. helped me with my struggles and treated me like a person unlike some. I wish I came here sooner so I could have had more time to be with them. ru and I had bonded over one thing. coffee(mainly). they we just sparked. we kept talk. these two have helped me through many of my struggles and vice versa. so I cant wait to see ru next year, and swede, even if its only on Wednesdays.

I keep my kids in this school cause academic wise it’s awesome. And on the children’s level they love it.
But as a parent level it is very poor. The lack of the communication with administration – teacher than to parents is VERY poor! And the unprofessionalism with the principal and front office people, when a parent has an issue or concern is mind blowing! And than they are always very short, and rude with you every time you go in, after addressing your concern or issue to them. You get by far more professionalism with McDonald’s management than you will with the administration at Scholar Academy. If you have any questions, issues or concerns you might as well go straight to the board of education, cause that’s where you’ll end up having to do in the end anyways.

My child has attended Scholar Academy since kindergarten. The leveled learning has been very beneficial for my child. He absolutely loves school! All of his teachers have been wonderful. The PTO puts on creative and exciting activities for the students. Having been a public school teacher for ten plus years who has worked in a variety of schools, I have never seen administration that works so hard to solve problems and support their staff, students and families that attend the school. Scholar is a positive learning environment and a fun place to go to school.
