It would be a five, except that when I went there the School didn’t give enrollment preference to art majors, and a lot of people who either weren’t art majors or who were adults in the community who had various degrees and just wanted to take art for the hell of it (non-traditional students) got scheduling preference over those who were actually majoring in it. Art majors don’t clog up classes for Education majors, so why is it fair for them to clog up our classes with people who don’t even know what the term “local color” means, let alone retirees who just want to have something to do? I had to take an extra semester of classes to graduate because of this nonsense, and when I wanted to talk with the dean at the Art School, the secretary said “What do you think he can do for you?” UMMMMM, HOW ABOUT GET ME IN CLASSES THAT I SHOULD HAVE PREFERENCE ENROLLING IN!
I hope the way they do enrollment has changed, the director of the Department (Helzer) was even less helpful, he basically said “I wish I could help you.”
One of my favorite places to work on things.
