Not only they did not help me, but they treated me real mean.
I went to the lobby of the building in order to get my vistor´s ID since I was going to meet with an important professor and needed the proper accreditation.
I was attended by a lady that did not seem to listen to me, I had to repeat twice who I was and what were my business there. After that, she handled me 3 different forms that did not have anything to do with my request. Nevertheless I did not lose my nerve and I completed them only to be sent to the next desk.
After I explained my situation, provided all of my IDs, handled the useless forms and kinldy asked for somebody who could help me in Spanish, I was kicked out of the building by two security guards.
I don´t think that use of force was necessary and thus, I do not recommend no one to come here looking for a solution, because you are going to be having two problems instead.
LUC’s school of law’s federal tax clinic saved me! They were amazing and resolved my problems with the IRS pro-bono! The students in charge of my case were absolutely wonderful and great communicators. They let me know what was needed from my end and where my case was in the resolution process. Their professionalism and efficiency eased my anxiety, I just knew I was in good hands. I absolutely recommend them to anyone from a low income background that needs tax related legal assistance.
Do not expect this school’s administration to support you. Expect to be met with condescension, neglect, patronizing communication, and an insulting disregard for your most basic humanity and intelligence.
