Imagine guidance counselors telling students on the very first day of school that they will have to attend summer school for a subject…. not because the student failed the subject but because the class for that subject was already full by the time your home room was called down to pick classes. It really sets the tone and takes away any motivation for the year when your told on day one that you’ll have to give up your summer for a class that you didnt even fail. This is just the tip of the iceburg in terms of the problems at this “school”. Most students cant even tell you what grade their in because their grading system is so uncanny. I went here for 3 years and had I not transfered out I know for a fact that I would not have graduated. My new school had a hard time interpreting their grading system that was reflected on my transcript and what was supposed to be the beginning of my 12th grade year turned into the beginning of my 11th grade year thanks to that. I’ve had classmates applying to college tell me that the schools they apply to also have had a hard time making sense of their transcripts. Granted they do give you plenty of freedom and allow you to explore the city during the day but at what cost? Parents please do not send your children here and if you’re thinking about it at least see if they’ll let you audit a full days worth of classes so you can see what your kids will be in for.

Great school the teachers are always willing to help you, even with something’s that aren’t school related. The course work is no joke, you do have to work hard but its worth it in the long run. We also go out into the community.
