Some of the events that I still couldn’t forget until this day:
– A certain “house master” forced us to participate in an event, stating that was compulsory. BUT the fact is that was not, and later he charged event fees on our accounts.
– International students’ personal belongings were constantly being stolen. BUT I had never seen any workable counter measures. What did the house master said? “Ohh, that’s unlucky.” “Just be more careful next time.”
You think that’s the end? Well, there was once he finally try to do something. But guess what, he locked everyone in the common room and said unless the thief among us turned himself in, no one could leave. Sorry for the language but what the * is this? Are we still victims or…? I just can’t believe it.
– There were much more…
I was so timid, I should have spoken up at the time.
That being said, I still got to met some really nice students, from local or from other countries, as well as many kind-hearted teachers who took special care for us internationals even they didn’t have to. I am a quiet student, but I am more grateful to them than they will ever know…
