I’m so grateful I found Scottsdale Executive Flight Training and highly recommend them to anybody looking for flight training. I initially called a couple schools in the area but they were the fastest about getting back to me.
From my first day with them I felt like I was in good hands. Everybody I interacted with was friendly, knowledgeable, and helpful. You can tell everyone here is super passionate about aviation, and I always looked forward to coming in and chatting with the staff.
My instructor Alex was amazing and flying with him was always a good time. He was an incredible pilot and wonderful teacher, both patient and supportive of my growth. You can tell he really loves what he does. He made his schedule open to fit mine, and was always available to answer any questions I had.
I also had the chance to fly with Collin once when Alex was unavailable and he was also a really great pilot and instructor.
I have to leave for the summer but when I’m back in Arizona this fall I plan to continue my training with SEFT. I couldn’t imagine going anywhere else.
I did the accelerated instructor course with SEFT. Three long days of preparation (3 grounds/2 flights) and on the fourth day, I was a CFI-I! The cost to rent their aircraft seemed a little higher than some others in the valley but, to me, was well worth it. The facility is beautiful, planes are well maintained, and staff is available, friendly, and ready to help.

Stephanie and Nick were instrumental in my successful check ride. They went above and beyond for me. Upper management was also very responsive in helping me figure out some financial stuff. Overall, I couldn’t be happier with my experience at Scottsdale Executive. They’re centrally located and are obviously running a very tight ship full of wonderful individuals.

Looked at a few other flight schools in the area and did discovery flights with a few of them but SEFT stood out because of how well maintained their fleet and facilities are and how friendly and knowledgeable their entire staff is. From the owner and his family to the instructors and dispatchers, everyone is welcoming and always have a genuine love for what they do especially Taylor who has helped me a lot during my time at SEFT. I decided to get my PPL with them and I was able to achieve that with the patience and determination of the instructors I worked with. I enjoyed it so much that I am now working on my instrument rating with them as well. I highly recommend them if you are looking for flight training or rentals!
