After much review of the local schools in our area we decided to open enroll my daughter at Sequoya for K. I have been extremely happy with this choice. Sequoya is a top rated school with a strong community. The pillar of this school is its leadership forged by Dr. Braney. She is out on campus speaking with her students and parents every day. The Parent Teacher Association also plays a large role in the success of this school and welcomes all parents. There are also diverse leadership opportunities for ALL students in 4-5th grade. If you are looking for a highly academic school with a small town community feel in the middle of Scottsdale look no further.
The on-site pre-school (Children’s Choice) is also remarkable! We were paying a considerable amount more for childcare. This is not childcare; it is seasoned, caring teachers preparing their students for K.

I have two kids who are attending Sequoya… and LOVE it. From Kinder to 5th grade it has been a fantastic experience and wonderful place to watch them grow and learn. Amazing teachers, warm community and incredible staff – especially the leadership. Lots of unexpected educational learning – like playing instruments, rock wall climbing, a rubix cube club, and great technology too! My kids are happy and learning.
My son just started today and all the teachers, staff… Even the cafeteria manager introduced themselves & made is feel right at home. The school has a newspaper weekly that I found awesome! The school is gorgeous & has so many decorations around that were colored & crafted by all the students themselves. I couldn’t ask for more of a great first day. I recommend this school. ??
