Would be a great school if parents didn’t play such a large role in athletics, academics, and all around culture. Students hardly ever have a say. If they do it’s not the majority that gets they say. Only a small minority that has a big voice. All the clubs are terrible except a handful (most likely less than that). The best part about this school is the academics, they really do prepare you for college. Everything else needs a shake up. It’s hard to get through all four years because of the culture. The only way you will love this school is if you have gone to other Catholic schools before attending Seton, and know a large majority of people heading into high school. They do surveys at the beginning of school and at the end asking the students about the culture, no one takes it seriously and nothing gets done from the surveys. I seriously considered transfering throughout my high school career and would have if my parents weren’t spending as much as they were for me to have a great education. Please have a long conversation with your child before sending them here. Make sure they are finding there footing in life while attending here. I am finding adulthood easier after attending here and love life after Seton.
We’ve had one child graduate and another in 10th grade. The teachers are tough and the homework is monumental, but I can say that our college student is MUCH better prepared for the workload that her public school peers. Our current student is very involved in both their fine arts program and robotics as well. It is truly a well rounded school with focus on Faith, Education, Arts and so much more. Highly recommend the investment and to look into tuition assistance programs from both the church and state funds.
I can’t say enough wonderful things about Seton. My daughter is graduating this yr and it has been an amazing 4 yrs. it is a wonderful community. The staff is caring and kind. I couldn’t ask for a better school. I am so thankful my daughter was able to be there, and that my youngest starts there next yr.
