I moved to sugar land so that my daughter could go to Settlers Way Elementary which is a wonderful school as far as academics go. My daughter went there and was an honor roll child from 1st thru 5th grade. So why am I giving it a 1 star, I’m doing so because of the 5th grade graduation was an insult to their effort. They did nothing. There was no major event. With all the students getting perfect attendance and honor roll in the school you would think the principal, the teachers would have made a greater effort to leave a lasting impact in the children they taught for so many years.
My friend goes to a school in a low income neighborhood and you would have thought their kids were graduating from Harvard with the effort made for their graduation,
With all the money we have given to the school over the years. I was deeply offended with the graduation. With over $60,000 in the PTA Surely $1000 could have been spent in the kids.
It’s been 6 years since I’ve stepped foot in this school but my memories still last.

SWE is a good school. I went there K-3rd (2008-2011) grade. Overall, staff is great. My teachers were all really good and I learned the basics that set me up for the rest of my primary education. The school incorporated computers into each week of school and I remember we had 1 day a week in the computer lab, which- for the time, ran modern programs and OS. Which upon coming to Arizona, I learned computers were not apart of the education and last year we had to take a typing unit because most couldn’t do more than 20 words a minute.

I hope SWE hope is still kept at it’s golden standard I remember it being.

They made a time capsule when I was in the 1st grade!

Thank you Mrs. Crowley and Borque!

The principle and her staff are so nice and friendly. The teachers are great and caring. My kids loves their teachers so much esp. Mrs. Anita Soffar, Mr. Michael Blasdell and Mrs. Robinchoux.
