I am deeply disappointed with the experience my family and I had at Shadelands Preschool. After being part of this community for several years, my 3-year-old son was abruptly expelled for what I consider to be typical behavior for his age. The lack of communication and support from the staff, particularly from Miss Karen, was shocking.

Children at this age are still learning how to manage their emotions and behavior, and I expected the preschool staff to be understanding and supportive, not punitive. Instead, my son was removed without any prior notice or attempt to work with us on addressing any issues. There was no consultation with us, no strategies discussed to help my son improve, and no support offered to our family.

Preschools should foster an environment of patience, learning, and growth. Unfortunately, this preschool failed us in this regard. I hope other parents take this into consideration when choosing a preschool for their child. A preschool should partner with families to support the development of their children, not dismiss them for behaviors that are part of the normal developmental process.

If you’re looking for a compassionate and understanding environment for your child, I would recommend looking elsewhere.

Just wanted to say thank you

My 3 years old son is in their Twos preschool program. The teachers are great and always updating us with our son’s progress. With Covid, they are quick to deal with any exposure such as letting parents know and if there is going to be no school.
Students have a schedule to bring snacks for the class.
Because the class is based on arts and crafts, they incorporate the ABCs, numbers, shapes, and colors with it. The kids always come home with the arts and crafts they create in class.
Its a great class to start for the little ones.
