I don’t necessarily find anything wrong with this school? There are gonna be strict teachers, strict rules and regulations, but that’s because most of the kids at this school don’t know how to discipline themselves and see the importance in putting real effort. Some of these teachers are actually making sacrifices for us to buy new supplies we destroy, and are arguing against having no phones in the classroom. The only reason why most students hate this school is either a teacher or because of the people who go to it, but I’m not one to judge who these kind of people are. I may not know your guys’s stories, but I know well enough that most of you don’t have any respect for anyone. The golden rule states that we should treat others the way we want to be treated. So if you don’t like it when people steal your chair, don’t go stealing other students chairs, if you don’t like people yelling nonsense at you, don’t go yelling nonsense at other people. In the end, we’re all hypocrites, and we’re gonna have to live with it, the students, the teachers, and the homework either way. School isn’t gonna be for eternity guys, so give it your best work! I know it can be hard sometimes, but if you need help, just say so. The work we do is nothing compared to what the adults do for this school, and we are blind enough to not see their effort because we are so caught up in ourselves. Work hard. Trust me, it’s all worth it in the end…
Went to this school last year(in high school now) and words can not explain how terrible this school is in my class alone we had over 50 fights, more than any year before. The cafeteria is gross and if you don’t bring your ID you have to clean all lunch you can’t even eat and I’m not sure you really want to eat there food. Its rubbery and there is pizza every day but its not good I’m pretty sure it’s made of plastic the Asian food is a joke and you eat for 5mins and stand out side for 10mins. Don’t even get me started on dress code we literally had a riot over it last year. On top of all that all the good teachers leave to go work other places cuz they get screwed over at shadow. If you happen to have mister Rosenblume I’m so sorry you have to experience him. there is a web program they do that I was apart of and basically 8th graders help ease 6th graders into middle school and most people in web quit by the end of the year also on Thursdays web leaders go to there web room for ten minutes in the morning to play games and teach lessons and usually your 1st hour teacher will mark you absent when your doing something that if you don’t do you’ll get kicked out of web. overall this school is terrible and any of my fiends that went there hated it hope you like being punished by grade for the actions of 5 or 6 people 0/10 would not go back.
As a parent, I had two kids go to Shadow Ridge before we moved. While most of the teachers my kids had were good, the administration leaves something to be desired. Our son was assaulted on school property by an individual that was already facing suspension for altercations with other students. Instead of escorting him to his locker to get his belongings, the administration let him go off by himself. Once he was out of the office, he took off and assaulted my son on his way off campus. My son was knocked unconscious, and was left to pick himself up and walk home. The school didn’t do anything for him until his father and I went and talked to him the next day, come to find out, the kid had threatened my son earlier that day, and they didn’t even alert us of that. They never expelled the kid that assaulted my son, nor did they put any practices into place to keep the other kid away from him.
