It’s a great school. Has been for years. Obviously it’s a big place with lots of staff, but my personal experience has always been one of kindness and professionalism where staff are concerned. No complaints. A great local school, with a more personal touch than other local offerings.
The teachers and staff at this school are professional and friendly – they make children feel comfortable and confident at this early stage in their lives. My grandchildren like to visit the school as classes are engaging and school / play activities are something they look forward to. What I would say though, and this had been a concern early on, unfortunately this school is riddled with asbestos and the school officials do not inform parents about the progress in managing this issue other than directing us to a general public relations response by Kent Council dated 2016. I hope they can be more forthcoming with information about this legacy issue affecting the building.
The head teacher is a borderline psychopath. She treats her teachers terribly. The staff turnover is very high because of her purposefully devisive approach to “management”. No child can benefit from an environment where the teachers are on the point of tears on a daily basis due to the completely inappropriate and unprofessional mind games she likes to play.
Keep your kids clear of this place.
