I’ve been here a couple of times with a pleasant experience years ago. Fast forward I go there this year and had a sew in with leave out. I no longer wanted my own hair out and asked that they just sew in a closure I had bought. I guess no one can think outside the box there. I was told it would be like $70. I asked why for something that doesn’t even take an hour. I was told there was no option in the computer for the service I was requesting so they were going to charge me for a whole sew in. No offense but from a business stand point that’s idiotic. So you going to charge me for an entire service for all my hair when all they had to do was 1-2 smalls corn rolls and sew the closure. Needless to say I left immediately. I came on senior wed and a lot of people were complaining and left that morning saying the prices were ridiculous. From my understanding they either have new owners or new pricing. Please remember these are students they are not professional yet. Prices should reflect as such and not be almost the same price as going to a salon. I gladly drove to another county to get my hair done that day and paid less than $40 and added on an extra service so that shows how much overcharging they do. I stay 5min from this place but have been driving 30m to get actual student pricing since this one is so high.
Thought I found a great school to start my barbering journey, no communication had to reach out several times to begin the application process and get orientation information after I paid my $50 and $250 registration fee. But things had changed so I called and emailed to see if they had any classes to work around my schedule. They stated no. I asked about the registration refund because I couldn’t attend the class bc of the schedule. Whoever I was emailing with said they will issue me a refund and that they understood. This was is march reached out several time no response they asked for my last 4 of my card then said they will cash app it to me still have not heard anything. I just think it’s unprofessional to not correspond to patrons and stand on their word if they was going to do it and not avoid answering. I know somebody prob gone say but we don’t do refunds, but if someone pays for a service that actually did not get or wasn’t able to use the service then it should be automatic. But the non communication and the broken word lets me know fully it was God redirection because. This is terrible. Gots to do better as a business and be better at taking care of patrons
The instructors are so unprofessional. My daughter and I waited over 3 hours allowing other people to go in front of us. Then when they finally called our names for services, they proceeded to tell us that they didn’t have anyone to do our hair to come back at 5:00 pm. We came back around 5:00 pm to get our hair done like the guy had asked, we waited about 20 minutes then they told us that they didn’t have anyone to do the services that we requested. I wanted corn rolls, and my daughter wanted her locs retwisted, which they advertise those services online. What a wasted day and my time. The dark-skinned guy with the beard is HORRIBLE!
