I graduated from Sheridan elementry. My son graduated this past June. We had our ups and downs with sherdian since my son started kindergarten. In may my son and I had to travel, he was out of school for 3 days. Now July I received a Notification of Truancy Report! My son throughout his schooling had had almost perfect grades. He was NEVER late, He graduated with honors, speaker of his class, received the gold presidential recongniton for academic excellence PLUS tuition $$. I am so frustrated and disappointed that no matter how much we cooperated, no matter the educational effort my son made during his time at Sheridan those 3 days in which the school did not receive monetary income for my son weighs more than the achievements he made!
Speaking from current experience and not past memories. This school is very unorganized and lacks structure. Memos are not sent in a prompt manner. I have an experience with bullying and my child and they seem to simply brush it off due to the lack of staff and the not enough consequence. Although they constantly chant there motto to be kind and courteous etc they do lack action to back it up. I’m highly considering changing her school.
