I am taking my daughter out of this school. They undermine us parents & even the children. They do NOT tackle bullying or teach children who have stolen money from another child the rights & wrongs. They left my daughter sore at the age of four when she had an accident & said they thought it wasn’t necessary to contact me because it was 14:40pm the end of the day time. I live a ten minute walk & I could of brought things to clean her up with & made her feel comfortable when it was time to walk home. They do not take on board parents concerns. The school is all about numbers & money. Other schools take part in world book day, but this school would rather do it at a later date & charge a PS1 for that event which every or most schools take part in on the same day! Forget about communication they really do lack in it as well!!! The only thing that is Good, is the gluten free meals. I want a school to bring out be best in my daughter, this school certainly isn’t the right one.
This school looks good on paper, but notice the ofsted report was last done in 2007. My son recently left yr6 at this school and just plodded along. Didn’t really like it but never said much about it. My middle child was bullied mentally and lost her confidence. She dreaded going to school. The school said they were sorting it all out but nothing was ever done to really eliminate the problem. My youngest went for nursery and reception (she’s yr1 now) and left being unable to read and write. She was taught sign language instead and the school failed to tell me until the end of year report came out. All of mine were removed this summer. The eldest went to secondary school but the two youngest moved primary schools. The youngest has learnt to read and write in just 7 weeks. Shiphay had her a whole acedemic year and failed to teach her.
This school also looks shabby and run down and in need of updating. Please look at other local schools in area before choosing this one which like I said looks excellent on paper. It is far from excellent.
Excellent School, great communication and have seen all three off my children blossom. Would highly recommend this school.
