I did not know about Shippers’ Choice in Manassas, VA before going to it, I reached out to two other schools in the area, but the vibes weren’t right for me. They were not very helpful. I was recommended by a Schneider’s recruiter to come to Shippers’ Choice while attending an event. He called up Vanessa, and she set up an appointment for me to come in the very next morning. I spent about an hour with Michael who was very patient. He answered all my questions and got me started in the next available class.

I came to the school when they had just moved over to the new building, so things were a little out of sort. It is a big and spacious facility though. On the first day Romero and Constantine went over the course with us. The most important takeaway for me was if I hustle and do my part, they will do everything to get me tested and have my license in hand as soon as possible. The instructors absolutely did their part. I worked with 6 different instructors the whole time I was there. All were friendly with a wealth of knowledge. They all want me to succeed. They taught me exactly what I needed to learn and shared their real-life experiences. They encouraged the students to work together. I worked with 5 other students, and we helped each other practiced and studied. I now talk to these guys regularly. We all encourage each other to do well.

It was an awesome experience going through Shippers’ Choice. From the first day of class, I was in a truck practicing maneuvers. Some of the instructors do not speak fluent English, but that wasn’t a problem for me. I paid attention to what they were communicating and hand gestures and had no problem understanding.

This is a great place to get started on your CDL license.

So grateful I chose this training school to obtain my Class A CDL. ALL of the instruction was professional and each instructor had something to add to my success. I had challenges and have to lift up Carlo C. He saw my wrongdoing and was so instrumental in helping me understand and fine tune my efforts. I credit his positive professional attitude,understanding,and his ability to encourage me when I was hard on myself.
