Miss Matai is the BEST teacher in the school, nice, caring, not strict and loves jokes.
Wouldnt say any of the teachers are that bad and the schools field is amazing, good playground and great people on the staff team.
Thanks for an amazing 4 years at shirley!

So at this school I have been called names, physically hurt, purposely winded up and more. I’ll admit – I wasn’t the perfect student but I don’t think that I deserve to be called a “little b****” a “cow” and a “liar”. I was getting bullied and I decided to ask a teacher for help. I got told to “go away and stop telling tails”. I eventually had to deal with it myself so the next time they called me a name or laughed at me I hurt them or called them names back. This obviously the right way to sort out issues but I was young and I didn’t know any other way to sort things out.
I also wasn’t the best at maths either… when I didn’t know an answer they happily let me sit outside for 2 HOURS and when my mother questioned them wondering what they thought they were doing leaving me outside they “just forgot” that I was out there, I was marked absent on the roll aswell that day and I think this wasn’t an accident. I broke my elbow and I got told to just put some ice on it when in reality, if my mum hadn’t come to school with an ambulance in tow, I would’ve been sitting there for possibly hours more with a shattered elbow that could cut off the circulation in a main vain any second. I was often bullied by student aid teachers into saying that I did things I didn’t.
My point is, this school isn’t the best…
