MY SON HAS DYSLEXIA AND ALL THE TEACHERS AT SHORT SINCE PREK HAVE WENT FAR AND BEYOND TO HELP HIM MRS POWERS MRS SMITH ARE THE BEST RESOURCE TEACHERS IN TEXAS MY SON WAS ABOUT 2 YEARS BEHIND SINCE PRE K AND THIS YEAR MEANING 4TH GRADE HE ALMOST MADE A 100 ON THE TAKS TEST NOW THATS A MIRACLE EACH TEACHER PULLS HIM AND TEACHES HIM TO HIS NEEDS ALMOST LIKE HAVING YOUR OWN PRIVATE TUROR THE PRINCIPLE MR CROSS IS A EXCELLENT EXAMPLE OF A PRINCIPLE I COULDN’T BE MORE PLEASED THIS SCHOOL IS LIKE A FAMILY. I MEAN EVERY SINGLE GRADE AND TEACHER EVEN HES FIRST TEACHER WOULD TUTOR HIM ON HER OWN TIME .THE SPEECH TEACHER IS AWESOME I COUNDNT EVEN UNDERSTAND HIM WHEN HE STARTED W HER AND NOW HES USING THE THE TECHNIQUES TO TEACH OTHER KIDS AND THAT ITS OK AND NOBODY PERFECT.I NEVER WANT HIM TO LEAVE I WANT HIM TO GRAUATE AT SHORT . THIS SCHOOL MAKES MY SON WANT TO GO TO SCHOOL EVEN W ALL HIS LEARNING DISABILITES LEARNING IS HARD FOR HIM BUT SHORT MAKES HIM LOVE SCHOOL.THIS SCHOOL DESERVES SCHOOL OF THE YEAR. I AND BLAKE WOULD BE A RECK WITHOUT THEM
This school is terrible as far as the kids who attend goes and the staff lack in discipline if you express concern regarding these kids and the disgusting language they use. I strongly suggest if you’re looking into schools, to find another one. These children are left unattended in the morning before the doors open, and they are so busy running, punching eachother or using the most vile curse words you can think of for a kid in elementary to use. It’s disgusting! So unless you want your kid to become a future felon of America, or talk like a sailor, then find another school! We are!
I am very angry with this school I’ve reported bullying multiple times & all they did was switch classes for my daughter she still get’s bullied by the same child. Majority of the kids cuss all day long they have no respect for other kids this has to be the worst experience i ever had & it’s sad my daughter has to go through all this.
School should be a place where a kid is happy with friends not annoyed & scared to get bullied i could go on but i said enough to get my point across. I will NOT have my child attend this school next year that’s a FACT!
