As a parent I’m so delighted that my son attends Simonds Catholic College in West Melbourne. The school’s leadership are so passionate and dedicated. They are approachable and so caring towards students and parents.
The teachers know the boys well and go above and beyond to provide individual attention to every student.
Currently, the school is being refurbished and it’s looking modern and impressive. Every detail has been thought of to enhance student learning.
The assessment and reporting is excellent providing regular and frequent opportunities to discuss student progress.
Wonderful support and guidance with choosing an employment pathway is also offered.
Thank you Simond’s for being a warm, inviting and accepting school that celebrates learning. I’m so grateful for all that you do for all students.
The boys at this school are incredible, one in particular a boy named Mohammed. I believe he is in the tenth grade at this school, he saved me from getting robbed on the Craigieburn line and had a lovely chat with him after. This school really does turn boys into men!
These guys called way too many timeouts just to lose in acc. Ended up getting back to school 40 mins late cuz of it.
This school is top class, the principle knows the name of your son , its fairly small but really strong student efficacy. Sport is not great as they don’t have a lot of space but the results at the end of year 12 are exceptional across the state. The teachers are very friendly and professional!!
As a parent who had his Son go to this school, Id honestly rate it 2 stars, the biggest issue with this school is that many of the teachers are egotistical and unprofessional. When he was in year 12 he used to get forced to do SACs before school at 7am whilst being given 4-5 hours homework and having to maintain a job and personal life at the same time, all because the teachers couldnt cooordinate and schedule good times. Another issue with the school is that the teachers expect very highly from the students, which is good in some ways, But i cannot say that they met their basic teaching expectations (I.e lesson planning, giving the students study guides). Overall this school is decent, but I cannot blame students for not wanting to learn or just plain giving up in an environment like this
