Terrible school the school is absolutely terrible they give people detentions for no reason. They go on about how we don’t give you detentions to waste your time but it is literally wasting our time. Also u don’t learn anything in the school. U get forced to go to the school and get fined if you don’t. They expect us not to talk when we didn’t even want to be there in the first place. This school is a prison. Everyone is miserable even the staff. The staff are too strict on the students and their clothing. They should nicely explain what the children done wrong. However, instead they use methods of intimidation and scare the kids to become like robots. Everyone has pretty much lost faith in the school at this point. The teachers are inconsistent and unreliable. They don’t be there to teach the students and the students always have different teachers. Students should create bonds with set teachers in each subject in order to succeed and feel safe. But in this case we get attached to a teacher just for them to leave the next week. Supply teachers they hire cannot teach they simply put a book in front of you; give you no motivation other then saying just go through the book. Many try to get out of school. Instead of support students and creating motivation for them to stay in school. They put spikes up and security guards around school. making students feel insecure and unsafe in school. The security guards record you without permission and make you feel even worse. Yes kids are not allowed to have junk food or drinks in school. Also mobile phones. However everyone brings their mobiles none the less. That’s just part of what the new generation is and they should honestly just get used to it. Yes if you eat or drink in class they are in the right to take it. However, out of class and even outside school they tend to still take your junk food. You may think this is just school policy. I agree. However, it gets to a point where they take your stuff outside of school premises. That just goes over the line. Seriously please give some thought before you send your sons and daughters to this school you will honestly regret it.
In my humble opinion this school should be shut down and re-opened under new management. The Senior Leadership Team work against each other rather than working together to achieve the best for their pupils. Pupils are conditioned to be robots as they are expected to walk along the corridor in a single file in silence! I have seen many wonderful staff leave recently due to the horrible working conditions they are subjected to. Staff appear to be unhappy, demotivated and overworked. Please OFSTED, intervene and restore this school to its former glory where staff and pupils were happy individuals under the guidance of Mr Slough The Legend!!!
My first worse experience with small heath leadership academy secondary school. They have lost my son admission application form. They have no sign of the entrance of the smallheath leadership academy secondary school, to make it easy for the people. The postman cant get access to the the building, They get their mail from well being centre and smallheath library. No sign or direction where the office is or the enterance . I have to ask people to guide me. I was devastated, disappointed to send my son to a very dugey school. I believe i will have a very rough, tough time with them from sept 2022.
this school had a dramatic downgrade when the SLT team came miss faredi she was screaming at children of year 7 8 9 10 for talking or doing something. i heard from some teachers that there was no screaming policy this had me extremely worried because they are talking like they are the highest god of us all there are little to no respect in this school from this SLT team they should be grateful that i call them people while calling children animals they are taking about children family’s past everything that humiliate them that’s absolutely disgusting all SLT team are weird giving us detention for looking at them. the only reason i give this school 2 stars because of all the teachers are helping us to get us to a good college and helping us in the future. This school is atrocious. Children feel insecure because of the assistant head’s aggressive behaviour. verbally abuses the students and she wants the pupil and the teachers have 6 lessons in a row if that’s gonna happen the teacher are gonna find a other what are you gonna give us suply for a year and letting down year 11 who trusted you absolutely disgusting. At Small Heath, we provide high standards of education with a focus not only on academic achievements, but also on the spiritual, moral, social and cultural development of our students. Our Academy’s STAR values of Service, Teamwork, Ambition and Respect are at the core of everything we do and are represented in the way staff and students model themselves paraphrased by Mrs Al-Ani why are you lying for when you have to power to change. if i was a father a mother i guarantee i wouldnt send my son or daughter to this school. sorry if i went off this a truly disgrace you can see why this school has one star. some people have suicidal thought anxiety attacks what does school do nothing.
Head Teacher needs to check why Stevenson still not sent PE kit when ordered start of August21. How are pupils supposed to wear school PE kit if there supplier cant deliver. Also the website stevenson does not have school trousers for boys. No store local for people of Birmingham.
