i am a retired 32 year elem teacher and my grandson is thriving at this school. I hand picked it after careful examination of other schools. I highly recommend it! The Teachers, Staff, Miss Sue, VOL, and Pastor are outstanding. They are always helpful, friendly, and extremely caring about their children and parents.They actually go above and beyond my expectations. I am impressed all the time. My grandson is in Miss Emily’s class and he is soaring in academic and social progress. I had him on a waiting list for another school but when a spot opened up for him, we decline moving him. The obvious reason for this decision was because of the excellence of Small Steps Academy…to the negative review, shame on you for there is no credence for such negative imput…I would recommend spending quality VOL time in the classroom and/or special projects helping the Teachers and I feel you would have a positive experience, because I assure you the children are.
We moved here from Pennsylvania and were surprised by the Florida ratios per teacher. When I toured Small Steps I was thrilled to see that the student to teacher ratio was much lower than any other schools we had toured. Speaking to all of the staff at Small Steps was so encouraging and I immediately fell in love with the center. My son LOVED coming to school every day! I love it so much here that I came back to work here even after my children went on to Elementary school. If you are looking for a Christ Centered facility that values age appropriate interactions with students in a loving environment look no further!
The teacher constantly picked on my daughter in vpk. Maybe because she has a speech impediment and is hard to understand, who knows. But the fact that every week it was always something with her. She even told me the teachers were mean too her. And just the last thing the teacher said too me did it for me. Seems like she had a thing against my child for some reason cus I never never never seen her pick on any other kid. Now my child is no longer attending and I will forever make sure I tell everyone the real truth about MS. Amy and her co teacher
