I decided to join Soma for two reasons, personal development, and self defense. I’ve been training for almost just over a year and a half and our family has trained here starting almost 8 years ago. I can definitely say I’ve seen myself develop greater self confidence. The environment at Soma encourages that. I’m impressed as I currently haven’t met or trained with a single person that was out there to crush me. Everyone is courteous towards each other and takes care of one another. That kind of atmosphere makes me want to keep coming often.
Would highly encourage anyone to come and train there.
I have been training Jiujitsu for many, many years. James is a total Ninja. He is a black belt in Brazilian Jiujitsu, and he has learned how to teach from the best. He is able to break down the moves and teach them so anyone at any level can come in and understand and learn. It is definitely a great place to learn a new form of exercise and great self-defense. Try it. You’ll love it!
This place has the best jiujitsu of any place I’ve ever trained. It is such a safe place to practice extremely effective Jiujitsu… not to mention the great people you get to roll with. They are technical, powerful, respectful, and kind all at the same time. 10/10 would recommend to anyone.
