If you are not Hispanic your child will be left behind. Staff are young and Rude. Lack of parent/ teacher communication. Requires so much from adolescent kids. Web based curriculum which doesn’t work and crashes alot. Most teachers have their kids attending that school. Their kids are their only focus. Stupid drop off/pick up rules .Some staff should become sworn officers because they speak very aggressive to these little children. School should be a pleasant environment not a Police Academy. My daughter loves Ms Williams in the front office she is #1. But there are horrible teachers like Ms. Silveira ??About 20yrs w/ no kids .That tried to give me a bed time for my daughter and even crossed the line to say she shouldn’t be able to watch television because as a kid she was poor and didn’t have a TV (which made her such a success). I am very disappointed and will report these matters to the MDCPS board.
If your child has a learning disability due to (ADHD) for example like mine.Please do you self and your child a big favor don’t waste your time placing him on this school. I went thru a lot of meetings with teachers, counselors and principal with zero solutions. They can’t provide the resources to help your child to perform, they always tell you “ohhh the school doesn’t have enough funds to provide resource rooms for students with learning disabilities” come on now they receive funds from the government plus all the fund that they collect from parents ALL THE TIME”. Is better schools out there do your research by the way this school is not a B grade school like they say they are their real grade for the passed 2 years is been a “C”.
First impression is the most important thing. Was told I could go by to pick up admission paper today until 6pm. Got there at 4:50ish and no one was in the office to provide documents. If this is how it is conducted, I dont want to imagine the type of education they provide.
