I hope this review helps any parents who are considering this school. The only reason this school gets stars from me is because of the teachers and staff. They are wonderful but they are short changed by the principal. Mrs. Suarez, the principal is the problem. How can a principal give the proper attention to a school when she is the principle at 2 schools at the same time?? Suarez runs this school as if it were a business, to make a profit, instead of it being about the students/learning. There is no “arts” here. It is a misleading title. Ask Suarez where all the money from the dollar days go and watch her get defensive (a sure sign of guilt). The money does not go towards the learning environment. The school does not have enough computers for the classroom. Suarez will tell you they have to make up money because they do not get the normal funding a public school receives from the state. She will also tell you the money goes toward the end of the year party. That party has 1 bounce house for the entire school. Also, it costs $5 for the so called “longest recess ever”. It is bullying to charge kids to play outside. Bullying because if you don’t pay, your kid feels left out. This is the environment the entire year, if you don’t pay for any of the activities (like wearing normal clothes), you are made to feel left out. The main office has room for only 1 chair and to get to some classrooms, you have to walk through and disrupt 3 classrooms. Mrs. Suarez, you have lost many good teachers because you threaten them and make them feel uncomfortable when they speak up. This is not Cuba, empower them to give you suggestions for the future of our kids! This schools accreditation needs to be reviewed and the funds/profits audited.
I should have noticed the red flags of the school during their summer program when I see multiple problems with the staff and the teenagers who they have looking after the kids trying to make the little kids fight and cursing in front of them but I still chose to keep my son there and the school year has been even worse if the kids don’t fit into their perfect way of life they do not want them there I was told numerous times by the principal and the teacher my son needed to be out of the school what’s funny is they had a substitute teacher and he did a perfectly fine they have way too many kids in the class for one teacher after 24 to 1 he recently started a new school and is thriving there also during the summer program I have seen multiple parents pulling their kids out I should’ve took that as a warning but I did it they advised me that my son was the only problem child at the school while we were there there was multiple kids being sent to the office just be aware of the school if your kids not 100% perfect they don’t want them there.
I have never felt this way about a person! I’ve never hated someone so much! It’s about time that I bring this to the light! There’s a person that calls herself vice principal, and her last name is Rodriguez!! She is very evil! I’ve never seen such an evil human being! I’m sure she kisses the principals behind so that her kids pass grades and get all the certificates there! Google is not going to give me so much space to write how I really feel about this evil human!! She did so much damage to my daughter, and even to the point she would lie to me, so that my daughter would look bad in school and at home! If I could write everything she did, your eyes would pop out! I will leave this up to KARMA!! Never do to others what you wouldn’t like to be done to you!! Enough said!! In the end I realize that you made my daughter a living hell!!! Because in the school she is in now which she completed 6,7, 8th grade. My daughter has gotten honor rolls, and student of the month. An evil person like you doesn’t belong being around kids! Enough said!!
