I graduated from South Beloit in 2011 and I’ve been going to rock valley college since then and I still don’t know what I want to do for a career to support myself for the rest of my life. I’ve been struggling with this and it is one of my biggest stresses. Now I’m still living at home, clueless as to what I want to do. South Beloit school district did not, has not and never will be the type of school to reflect on the students about what career path to take, and I feel many of my classmates have taken the same path as I have, most of them not finishing college credits. I see so many of them working at walmart, fast food chains, etc. It’s very sad and I believe this school district is primarily to blame. Not many of us thought seriously of our career opportunities then which is why most of us are going nowhere now. I don’t recommend this school to the parents of children who already struggle with choosing a career path.
For an older building, well maintained. Thorough crossing guard coverage for students crossing this busy road. Mind your speed, folks, just a few blocks away from SBPD, the police are always around to ensure student safety.
