My daughter has attended this school for her 10th grade year. We’ve been very happy with her progress and for the teachers counselors in after school Volunteers in the different programs that they offer. Everyone that we have talked to has been helpful and encouraging to help the kids along. When there was a scary event there was great communication from the principal. I like the weekly phone calls from the principal as well they are helpful to know what’s going on at the school. I wish that they would get their magnet IB Program at this school. Because our kids have been in the IB Program I will have to get them transferred to Garner high-school.
This school doesn’t let students be themselvs, they think a shoulder and stomach will be a distraction and it’s not, they don’t focus on the REAL distraction which is people who act up. It’s NOT based on what they wear. Students have a right to express themselves freely and wear what they want. Teacher that restrictions that prevent a student from being who they are and teachers expect them to be “perfect”. Teacher don’t do nothing about distraction, all they care about is what a student wears and that has NOTHING TO DO WITH how a person acts
