On June 6, I had a tour. I decided to bring my 3 y/o which was optional. Our appointment was at 9:30 am. We got there at 9:25am and waited 20-30 minutes, until about 10 am, to be seen. My daughter was quiet while waiting in the lobby. When we got into the principals office she had a clear bin full of LOL dolls (on the top of a closet located across from her desk) and my daughter began to cry for them during the tour. Principal wrote notes saying my daughter couldn’t attend because she cried during the tour. Never called me back. I had to call and find this out. Unprofessional! So if your 3 y/o cries during a tour they will be turned away. The principal(s) and most teachers are NOT certified in the state of NJ. This is public information. This is a red flag as well. They are not patient, they have no respect for your time, and they are very short-fused. So glad I seen this beforehand. Helpful hint, Principals should store away toys and distractions in their office. Especially since you don’t want any crying. I found a better school for my daughter. Good luck to anyone who sends their children here, because most 3 year olds cry because they are not mature. As a current “certified” teacher of NJ and a future “certified” NJ Principal I do not recommend.

We could not be happier after wrapping up our first year at SJCA. Our kids had a wonderful first year, both loving the entire staff and feeling welcomed right from the beginning. We fell in love with the small class size and will be staying because of the teachers. If you’re looking for a small, supportive, and welcoming school—SJCA is the place to be.
