Southbury Primary is an outstanding school with dedicated, caring and innovative staff. The ethos of the school is one of inclusion and care whilst the teaching methods are tailored to individuals – never a one size fits all approach here. My 4 children have all thrived here and are reaching, I believe, their true potential thanks to the teaching methods being used. Highly Recommended!!

Our decision to pro-actively move our son to Southbury Primary was probably one of the best decisions we have ever made. He could not have had a better primary school experience than the one he enjoyed at Southbury and it gave him a superb springboard going into his secondary education. The leadership and staff have created a fantastic supportive, friendly, community feeling within the school, and in addition are able to deliver personalised inspiring teaching to the pupils, ensuring they all achieve their full potential both academically and socially. 5 Stars without question !! :-)The support for parents and carers was excellent too, with lots of helpful advice on supporting the children with phonics and reading and their learning in general

My son went to this school, we ended up removing him after he was bullied and the school did very little to resolve the problem. The only time they actually took notice was when he was bitten and had deep teeth marks.
The headteacher also needs to look up the definition of bullying as he doesn’t seem to understand what it is.

BEWARE OF THIS SCHOOL AND THEIR STAFF, I would like to tell everyone that this school is one of the worst school this borough could ever have I had to take my both children out of this school due to the poor quality of looking aftering the children and bullying which is supported by the headteacher , my youngest attending nursery was bullied by a teacher called miss prodromou who apparently had a grudge against me for god knows what reason, the deputy head mrs pinwill said it was something i said to her and apprantly because she was also having personal problems and took it out on my child and they way my little one was treated after by other member of staff was unacceptable and unforgivable. my other child going to reception things were so bad unorganised teacher not paying attention as to what was going on in her class disgusting, took her out of school thank god.. I reported everything to mrs pinwill deputy head but she turned out to be a trouble maker please avoid going to her in any case she will really twist everything and make it worse and she will lie to you. And lastly the headteacher who never did anything to put anything right instead lied and made up excuse from himself without even looking in to any matter he is so blind
cant see how poor the school is running and keeps assuring himself that this school is good when he does not know his job properly. Please be aware that this school will not look after your children properly and will disturb your kids mentally and will bully them as mine were but I luckily took them out at the right time and took the right action. this is a poor and degraded school.

A great little school – My daughter attended for 7 years and loved every minute of it. The teachers were all so kind and supportive I can’t thank them enough
