These teachers and staff are all very invested in this school and in these kids. I wasn’t sure about taking a chance on a new school, but I absolutely know that I made right choice. It’s a completely different approach from standard cookie cutter standard common core teaching. Although common core is taught, the focus is on the individual child and teaching hands on in a way that’s engaging and in a more practical real world way. They recognize other things that can help or hinder a person’s ability to learn and address them, like emotional intelligence and a fixed way of thinking. They understand how what motivates one may be different for another. more practical real world way. I know this is the right school. I am excited to see my kid excited about school.
SVA is one of the worst school I’ve ever been at. . Anti-curruption teams need to look into this school. Very bad and growing Bullying problem still unsolved in this school in 2019. False advertising ( our students are very caring). Just to pull people into thinking this is a great school. Very ghetto school. Unhealthy school lunches. Unfriendly environment.
The teachers and staff truly care about their students. They are teaching cutting edge material and actually getting children to think….and learn…and explore. Great support for IEPs, etc. also.
