As a parent, the school was great! I volunteered and spent quite a bit of time there during school hours, so from my experience, I was quite happy sending my kids here. Reception staff were great! Mrs Costello will always have a special place in my daughter and I’s heart. Many of her students who go on to high school, still go back to the school in the mornings to greet her. She’s very caring and loving! You can see her passion for teaching, it’s very rare to find.
My son went through a bully phase one time, and it was handled VERY promptly and seriously! I couldn’t have asked for a better outcome. The staff are friendly, and greet the kids each morning at the front gate – which is very warming! Only thing I can add is maybe the drop off/pick up traffic could probably be managed better. Thank you SCSS for a great 2 years!
If I could give this school a zero, I sure would. Been there for 7 years, let’s just say it’s not that awesome. It’s like handing out bros is a complete hobby for the teachers. In year 5 for me it felt like I’d get think it outs just for breathing. Teachers completely misunderstood me, and basically treated us like robots. We were expected to sit up straight and not talk?? I mean come on, we are children, we are always going to talk at some point. You shouldn’t punish children for having a voice, and using it. Nothing really exciting going on, barely any excursions, and bad rules. I thought rules were made to keep people safe? Not turn children into clones of eachother. Uncaring and discouraging teachers. Except for miss Costello, miss Hannam, and miss Wilson. Do not reccomend. Only good thing about that school was the canteen menu.
L SCHOOL , BUT W MR AITKEN. IF U GET MR AITKEN U WILL HAVE A GOOD YEAR ONG. MS. HANNEM TOO!! but mr aitken is 1st place 🙂 the school had dumb, self centred rules like “no jumper around ur waist bc it makes the uniform look bad” . i thought the rules were made to keep us safe but no. it was to make the school’s uniform look good . most of the teachers were really rude and would yell at u when you didn’t understand stuff.. bruh we r there to learn so teach it to us instead of getting mad dawg it wasnt really fun either, there was hardly any excursions. i was there for 3 years and only had one and that was the yr 6 camp that every school in brisbane had, LAME. 1/10 recommend, the 1/10 came from the godly teacher i got in yr 6, MR AITKEN. thanks bye.
Terrible school I have nothing else to say.
so like i kinda hated this school, the learning was alright but I feel like some of the teachers were a bit rude so be aware of that and all the other like year 6 kids cause like they are actually so rude. =) the only good teachers were like ms lane and ms payne. i did like ms davidson too she’s rlly nice
