I was lost with my nephew looking for weeki wachee state park, so I pulled in and an older woman came out and yelled at me while taking my picture for “prosecution”. You can’t see the small No Trespassing sign on the gate out front, which was open. It was a very unpleasant encounter for an innocent mistake… this lady shouldn’t go around taking pictures and threatening to get me prosecuted. Seems like a bad place to take children with such a person around. My nephew cried as we left because he saw her yelling at me… I hope they consider hiring better staff or close the front gate when it’s not open for public.
Absolutely disgusted by the lady who came out yelling at me for pulling onto the property unaware of it being private. Even after explaining myself as lost and unaware of the no trespassing sign. Which might I add, there is only ONE sign located on the gate which was open and out of view of travelers entering. Is that how you represent yourself and place of work? By literally yelling at me to get off the property. How respectful and mature.
My kid is planning a field trip with her school to this place and after reading the reviews for the place I feel so good about sending my kid to a highly protected facility. Those people who left negative reviews for being kicked out of a protected private property are the exact reason why I approved my kids’ field trip visit to this place.
Please keep up the good work ??
