Awful School district. Teachers and staff are unprofessional and disrespectful to the kids.
1 teacher searched my kids backpack in front her class and asked her for money for a book she borrowed, and the book wasn’t due yet, it was a day before the return date.
Others searched her backpack and lockers multiple times for items another child claimed she took. Nothing was ever found. They never contacted us about any of it. We found out it all because our daughter was crying to her grandmother about the teachers embarrassing her in front of the other children. Turned out it was stuff from over 9 months prior that was given to our daughter when they were friends, but they had an argument so the other child wanted her lip gloss back.

I’ve seen the office staff yell at and be very disrespectful to children for walking on the grass in front of the school.

They were pushing all year for our child to attend the deaf and hard of hearing academy, to the point of basically harassment, they obviously dont want our child there. We were going to try it for summer school. They said they sent the referral and gave us the start date, but then never responded to any additional email or calls. Turned out no referral was sent and they never contacted the deaf academy. By time we contacted the academy directly it was too late.
Our child will not be returning to this district. She will be homeschooling or open enrolling in elsewhere.

Beyond exhausted dealing with the transportation office. My son is in kindergarten at Clearview elementary and for weeks have asked his bus stop be moved close to home because the bus drives RIGHT by our house and we live on a crossroad. After weeks of it being declined, “escalated to a supervisor”, and receiving no response I am just over it. Also, I enrolled my son in kindergarten back in April yet come August he wasn’t enrolled in busing. He somehow slipped between the cracks and the transportation office gave me a “tough luck” explanation even though it wasn’t my fault. They didn’t get my son in the bus route until the PRINCIPAL of his school had a meeting with them.
Most disrespectful main office staff in oak Hill elementary. If you want to be rude and sarcastic do it to someone who won’t care cause you have made the wrong person mad. OAK HILL never validated the person picking my daughter up. Anyone could go in and get your child at that point. If you want respect then be respectful. I ask 1 simplementation question and just used memory to help but I was made to believe I was very wrong and that I deserved them to treat me with little to no respect. This is why I didn’t want my daughter in a public school in this big city. You guys need to take the time to teach the employees to talk and handle situations differently.
