My experience of this school is overwhelmingly positive. The teaching staff are excellent, they care for each and every child and help them to reach their potential. The early years provision in particular is a very nurturing environment which enables children to start school in an enjoyable atmosphere. There are multiple opportunities for parents to come into school to attend Masses, musical recitals, plays and sporting activities. It is always obvious to me that I am looking at happy, engaged children who love being at school!
What an absolutely amazing school that I feel honoured my daughter attends. As a mother of another child who has additional needs and attends a special school you have extra worries but this school suppprt us as a family. My daughter attends the before and after school and throughly loves it. The older children all care about the younger ones and show love and support to them. Each member of staff shows kindness and a loving nurturing way. They all work extremely hard so that each child reaches its full potential. This shows in the amazing SATS results that the school achieves above the national average at all levels and last year came in the top 1% of state primary schools for results. The school has such a fantastic community feel between all the families and children, all supporting each other. If you are looking for a school then I highly recommend taking a look at this one, you won’t be disappointed.
A school where children are educated to the highest standard whilst also being nurtured. The school achieves consistently above national average in SAT results at all levels and last year came in the top 1% of state primary schools for results. This is down to the fantastic hard work of all the staff. Staff turnaround is rare which means pupils and families are well known by all staff and the transfer into new year groups is seamless. The school has a strong community feel – as a family I’ve never been short of help when needed! That community feel is seen between the children too – with older children caring for and looking after infants. The thriving out of hours club is run by the school rather than a private organisation and as such follows the same values. Whilst it is the only 1FE primary left in the area it continues to provide my children with a fantastic
start in school life – they couldn’t be happier.
What a truly wonderful School ,it is a hard time for any mother when their child starts school but my son has entered a supportive loving and caring school The ethos of the Teachers is filtered through to the students who definitely display the ethos of a catholic school .
After a teary start he now runs in to school excited for his day ahead and comes home happy and pleased to tell me about his teachers and friends , on the days when he still is a little teary there is always someone kind to walk him in either the headmaster or a teacher.
I can not rate the school highly enough and would defiantly recommend it .
Terrible school. We moved house to get our children in to this school. Big Mistake. They have a chronic problem with bullying that are unwilling or unable to sort out. The head master turns a blind eye and seems completely dis-interested in the school. I and other parents have commented that he is just seeing out his time . They have a one form entry that they have been unable to fill for the last 2 years. The ofsted has reduced from outstanding to good and this flatters the school. We have now had to move 2 of our children. The 3rd still remains until we can secure him a place at another school. My 5 year old sums it up when he says to us ” I don’t want to be catholic because they are not very nice people”. If you are thinking of putting this school as one of your choices I would think again!! We are not the only parents who have moved their children out of this school
