Staff don’t help at all. Facilities are awful, at one point the door was taken off the boys toilet so everyone could look through. Also their so called ‘anti bullying’ is a load of rubbish. I have known many kids who have been bullied relentlessly and nothing happened. But why? They simply don’t care, all they care about is themselves. I absolutely hated my 5 years here and hoping and trying my hardest to forget my terrible and excruciating experience.
P.s. if I could rate this -stars I would.
I love this school if you may have looked some comments are negative but I quite like it. its got good staff, good resources and you will fit in the only thing that’s bad is some children. If you want to send your child to a good strict school than got to this one.
Good school but they should still care about students mental health because they don’t know how many people suffer from it
As an ex-student of the school (from age 11-18) I would say that generally the Teaching staff and overall community is fantastic. The senior leadership team helped me to get through a very difficult period in my personal life during my A-levels and helped get me into university. Furthermore, pastorally the school excels in helping and encouraging students to grow both academically and emotionally.
That said, there is a certain teacher in the English department who brings their own (rather radical) views on feminism into the classroom and has allowed actual teaching to be replaced by telling young women how to act, dress or even what music to listen to. This teacher is telling female students what opinions to have on various issues and to “not give into male dominance”. Frankly, despite being a ‘toxic male’, I found this rather difficult to deal with during my A-levels and I know that current students are having to deal with the same issue.
Apart from this one teacher, my time at SJP was excellent and I am thankful for the education I received whilst being a student there.
Completely discarded the fact that a child was assaulted on their premisise more than once due to having a learning impairment. Not bullying free what so ever. Results may be good but safety could be an issue.
