Complaint after complaint to the principal since 2017. Mostly in respect to quality of teaching. Concerns are never acted upon, just brushed aside with hyperbole and education – speak. Complaints were made to CESA (Catholic Education SA) as a result. Hard to get a straight answer. Very defensive and lacking transparency. High proportion of teachers who appear to have lost any sense of enjoyment in teaching children. One of my children’s junior primary teachers will easily be remembered as their worst teacher in all their schooling. Constant shouting and/or aggressiveness towards students by other teachers. Other parents have complained to the principal too, some removing their children from the school as a result. Mixed classes, eg years 2/3 together are the norm and do not work. Wanted to raise several questions on notice at the recent AGM, but all were disallowed by the principal. There are far better schools. Some of the recent posts painting the school as the best ever should be read with a grain of salt. It is unsurprising that three of them were all written on the same day.
Dear St Joseph’s Memorial School, my wife Belinda and I went on a tour recently and we were very impressed! We think St Joseph’s Memorial School will be the perfect place for our twin boys’ primary schooling. Lots of love!
Rubbish school full of bullies. The teacher, especially that Mrs Shaw who taught my son years ago was horrible. Failed to provide support to students even when they got bullied. Unsupportive and unprofessional.
I loved the school, very good. needs canteen because I’m fat
Bit by teacher. Teacher not apologise. Kinda like it, would come back again. Shame about kids
