This Kitchen Garden is at the rear of the St Kilda Park Primary School and actually, together with the adjacent St Kilda Park Primary School/Community Playground, it’s on Albert Park, Parks Victoria land. As you can see from my photos here, it’s a relatively small garden surrounded by an interesting looking fence made up of poles in the shape and colours of colour pencils.

As well as being used as part of the school’s kitchen garden program, educating children about how to prepare soil and grow vegetables, the garden is accessible to the local community. What a great idea and in some ways this very much reminds me of what the Gangsta Gardener, Ron Finley did with nature-strips.
