As, a going to be a former student at St Luke’s Science and Sports College.
I’ve enjoyed my 5 years and I have loved my time and I want to do it again and again just because there is so much passion and the enthusiasm from all the staff and students that they have put into this school. This school to me is just amazing, outstanding and just one of a kind high school, i will send my children here 🙂 but its just a happy, friendly and a well organised high school (I loved it) 🙂
Unfortunately, they have recently removed D.T from the list the list of GCSEs, only those who are in year 10 in this year (2018) have been able to gain access to GCSE D.T. The behaviour system, while it is very efficient, is focused on too much. The science department is poorly funded and I usually see at least one of my teacher leave for a better life. I have also been self-reliant for most of my revision, since I have been taught very few revision methods. Fortunately, however, I can say that some of the staff here are very committed to their work and the SEN department is excellent.
I am in my final year at this school. I love this school with all my heart and i strongly recommend this school. It goes through drifferent changes but i think this is good idea. And i think this school teachers are abouslately amazing! They are friendly and helpful when you are stuck. Carry on!
St.Lukes as it used to be called, is one of the leading education colleges in Exeter. It rivals amazing Teachers and specialist equipment. I have attended St.Lukes, and I was in the first 3 years of the School turning into a College. Being a starting part in, what now is, the structure of the school. The College is split up into Houses (named after influential scientists) each with there own ‘House Captain’ ‘Sports Captain (Me), and ‘School Council Rep’ (also me). Each is ‘Captain’ works closely with the Teachers and Principal of the College to attain a better future for each. The sports facilities are spectacular. The Gym fits a Basketball court, with drop down hoops (cool heh?), outside there are 4 Tennis courts, an Astro turf pitch, fields which have an 800m track painted on, 3 rugby pitches and plenty of space for just sitting around on a warm day. It sports an ampi theatre and a huge eating area for all. All in all a pleasant place to be taught at, and you will succeed… you cant fail there.
It’s a good school however the science education is not as they basically nearly the whole year group on foundation and have ruined one of my chances to do a levels as I needed a six and you can only get up to a five on foundation
