i’m apart of the Warriors Waterpolo team. And I’m beside my self at the slack of respect for their coach and officials, that the under 16c brown team showed at the waterpolo competition last Saturday! At the start of the game the ref asked/informed both teams and coaches that the lane ropes had to be put back into the pool at the conclusions of the game. (only 3 ropes per team – a 5 minute job) they told their coach they had a party and had to leave! They left my girls to do everything! The team had lost their game and I believe this behaviour was in direct retaliation to this result – extremely poor sportsmanship in my opinion. Not to mention the parents remained super quiet about the whole thing and started escorting the girls outside. They were blatantly ignoring their coach. Which made it very obvious on pool deck! Not to mention after my girls did the back up by them selfs we went outside and most of the girls where still waiting to be collected! Disgusting behaviour from girls and poor parenting! Not to mention the referee on pool deck mention she attended the school and she was embarrassed to even admit that! Stating that girls and the parents behaviour has not changed since graduating!
If you want your child to be taught good sportsmanship, don’t send them here. Disappointed that the school ignores all the reviews about poor sportsmanship. This school’s image for so many people apart of Downey Park Netball club is a school full of mean bullies that call themselves netball players. Should be ashamed of yourself
I watched them play 13 years div 3 netball on the weekend against pine hills and the behaviour displayed by the coaches and the players was unsportmanship like and disrespectful. They were slapping the girls, knocking the ball out of their hands, and the umpires didn’t do anything. The worst part is that three girls on pine hills went off crying after being elbowed in the ribs, slapped across the face and scratched. Additionally, the coaches and parents were cheering the players on when they did this terrible behaviour, and it is just utterly appalling that the parents and coaches were encouraging this type of behaviour. Teach this team respect! A report has been filed to the netball company already, but direct action should be taken by the school to ensure that the girls know this behaviour is not ok.
it’s 9 degrees celsius in the morning and somehow the air con is still on
I have been to 5 schools and this one was by far the best!!! They are so caring but also incredibly talented in sport and academics (I don’t have anything to do with music so I can’t comment ;). They care soooo much about each girl. Would highly recommend
