Far and away more than we could have asked for in a school. We are fairly new and I already feel such ownership in helping SMG thrive, as do all the other parents I come in contact with. People volunteer, fill spots needed, participate in the extra things, and are just really really kind. After school pickup is one of my favorite times of day because everyone I talk to becomes a friend. These are all the things that make MOM smile 🙂 But my son couldnt love his teacher or friends more. The classroom setting is small and with resources to help him in areas he struggles. He is constantly (like every single day) bringing home art from other kids, pictures of them playing together. I just smile at the love between the young people at this school and know that its modeled top down. Loving this school.
We drive 16 miles each way every day to send our child here. Very well organized, very well run school. Excellence in administration and in the classroom. Although as with any school, some teachers are much better than others. Sometimes teachers push harder than the kids think they can go, but help them along, not set them up to fail. No lazy, overpaid public-school teachers here! Even if you’re not Catholic, and looking for a better-than-public-school education for a good price, check this place out.
Our kids have been at SMG for the past 12 years! It has a great academic program, and my kids have been very prepared for highs school after finishing at SMG. But more importantly, my kids are learning about their Catholic faith – the saints, sacraments, and virtues. I also love that my kids learn social and emotional skills at school. We will be at SMG for many years to come!
