Our son is in his second year at. St Martin’s and it feels like we have been been a part of the SMES family forever. We enrolled our son with the plan to pull him back into the public school system (to a charter school with our other older son) starting in 6th grade, but within a few months of being at SMES we were so impressed with both the academic rigor and the schools focus on instilling engagement, collaboration, and confidence in the kids, that we shifted our finances in a way to allow us to keep our son at SMES through 8th grade. Our son is noticeably happier, more compassionate, and kinder (to his brother!) since he has been at St. Martin’s. Both the academic and spiritual leaders and all of the staff and teachers are part of what makes this school great and the reason we are now committed to him staying at SMES through graduation. We only wish SMES went through 12th grade!
My youngest attended preschool here and both came back for elementary school once our local public school class sizes just got too big (over 25). I cant say enough about the lower school. The classes are small and personal. The children receive lots of individual attention and love. My children have been pushed and challenged. Theyve gained confidence to trying new things outside their comfort zone. The teachers and staff are amazing – dedicated, friendly, caring. It feels like home vs an institution. Classmates are really more like siblings. The Christian education aspect is a huge plus for us. The children have chapel and sacred studies weekly and learn important values. The curriculum is robust and includes tech, Spanish and cursive in addition to traditional subjects. We have been very happy with our experience and would love to see the school grow!
This church is a gift from God. The clergy is fresh and full of God’s word and the energy of worship is a wonderful spiritual experience.
Young families, children and life long Episcopalians share a fellowship together as a real church family.
Need faith, desire a relationship with Jesus ….St. Martin’s is a great place to start.
I’ve returned “home” to St. Martin’s and have been blessed. Christians seeking the same as I….come see for yourself, you will be amazed!!
